Creamy Sausage Gravy
Ingrédients
- 2 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 pound breakfast sausage
- 2 Tbsp. all purpose flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 Tbsp. Cookie Butter® Syrup
- Salt and black pepper, to taste

Instructions
- Preheat a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Once hot, add canola oil and breakfast sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes.
- Add the flour and mix in thoroughly. Continue to cook for an additional minute to ensure the raw flour taste is cooked out and the flour has had time to absorb the fat.
- Slowly whisk in the milk being careful not to make any lumps.
- Add in the syrup and allow to simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until it reaches your desired thickness.
- Season to taste and serve over freshly baked biscuits.
