"Not great by itself, but if you pair it with a amaretto or a vanilla it masks a little of the sour and shines though as a pie flavor. Cant imagine what the tart cherry is like as this seems tart enough."

We got this syrup expecting

"We got this syrup expecting to be able to recreate the cherry Italian sodas we’d get at events, but this seems to be more of a dark/black cherry than a sweet one. We tried it in coffees but it seems to curdle the milk and cause chunks. I think the flavor is fine, but we haven’t been able to find a solid use for it yet given the lack of sweetness."

True to the Cherry

"I've been enjoying Monin Cherry syrup (and other Monin flavors) for at least ten years. Cherries fascinate me and their flavor is my favorite probably because the cherry does not grow in my country of birth (Cuba). The climate is too hot and humid. Over the years I have tasted almost every brand of cherry syrup available in the USA. And the that only brand that captures the nuances and subtleties of the cherry is Monin. Their process is true to the cherry (Fidèle à la cerise). It's the best."

Very Disappointed

"I have purchased the Cherry Syrup for years now. And I normally love it! This last order, I ordered a case and once they arrived I started using it right away. Only to find out that they were horrible this time. The flavor was still cherry but also tasted like there were jalepeno flavor in the mix. Not spicy, just jalepeno flavor with the cherry flavor. I opened all four bottles and found that they all tasted this way. I thought maybe it was just me so I had three other people try them and they said the same thing! I ended up dumping all four bottles and wasted nearly $50. I was not offered a refund or any answer if the formula changed just another flavor - which I only use cherry so I was very disappointed. I thought they would at least want to know the batch number so they could investigate but nope, nothing. Makes me sad that I have to find another company to purchase this flavor from now since I don't want to take the chance of wasting more money on the same problem. :("
