Maple Bacon Scones

Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 11 Tbsp. cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1/2 cup Monin Maple Pancake Syrup

Glass Size: 10 scones.

Instructions

      1. In the bowl of stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, place all the dry ingredients inside and mix until fully incorporated.
      2. Add the cold butter and mix until the flour is coarse and sandy.
      3. In a separate bowl, combine the wet ingredients. Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the stand mixer while mixing on low speed, stop once a soft dough is made.
      4. Scrape the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and cut the dough into three even pieces. Gently pat each piece into a circle about 3/4’’ thick.
      5. Transfer onto a baking sheet fitted with either a silpad or parchment paper and cut the disks into triangles. Preheat the oven to 425°F and place the dough into the fridge for 20-30 minutes while the oven preheats.
      6. Bake the scones for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
      7. Serve immediately or store in a tightly sealed container at room temperature.
